Today’s Haiku on Wind, Henry

Henry 9 months

Colorado is having a high winds today.  Mom says its the early start of spring time (usually in March), something called in like a lion and out like a lamb.  She is hoping we will get mild weather soon.

Here is my Haiku telling you just how I feel:

  • The wind makes me bark
  • Waking me from my nightmare
  • Of chasing my tail

The Thornton Community Band has a free concert for you November 3rd!

The Thornton Community Band is an all-volunteer, non-profit community band created to share the gift of music with the North Denver area and surrounding communities. Their motto states, artistry, entertainment, and education are the three hallmarks of our band. They love to have fun as well as educating audiences as well as the musicians that play in the band!

This Week’s Extreme Dog Treats!

And Mom got herself these chips.   Poor poor Mom, no fun treat for her.

Today’s Muse

 

Muse:  A source of inspiration and a guiding spirit.

Today’s Muse is Madeline who I met at the pet food store (just one of many I frequent).

An adorable young lady who informed me that her t-shirt was a triple hand me down and showed me the worn spots and holes.

When I wondered if my dogs would like a goat dog kibble she ran to the back room and found a sample for them to try (it was pretty goaty stinky but after a few sniffs they gobbled it right down).

She also made sure I got my cash discount and reminded the owner of the store to figure out a good discount for my huge purchase of over 100 lbs of dog food and several bags of parrot food.

This young lady had me smiling the whole time I shopped and I realized that she made my day a better day with her bubbly personality.  Madeline inspired me to be more friendly and helpful and to pay attention to those around me!

This Week’s Extreme Dog Treats!

Hi!  Roscoe, Monty and Henry here with a guest blog post.  What’s in the treat bin this week?

Yup those are freeze dried pig snouts.  How do they taste?  Don’t know yet…  Mom is kind of dragging her feet because she said they are kind of gross.  There are little nose hairs on them!

A good standby.  Dried dish skins, they stink so good.

And especially for Roscoe because he hates the fireworks two boxes of calming aid.

These are roasted chicken flavor and when mom opened one of the packages it smelled soooooo good!

We told mom we were all scared but she knew we just wanted a “lick”!
