Don’t watch TV? You may be missing out!

I don’t watch TV. Imagine my shock yesterday, yes on Black Friday, when I saw this amazing product in the “As Seen on TV” section.

Roscoe, my German shepherd mix ( for those of you who have a German shepherd you know how much they shed ),  hates to be groomed. But he loves to be petted.

This glove actually works for him!  He stood quietly with his eyes slightly shut in enjoyment and let me massage some loose fur out of his coat.

Roscoe says:  Future pictures of me will be sleek no lumpy fur.

I hate to say this but Black Friday was a win for me!

Rescuing Henry

img_2972

Still looking at rescue puppies, my next puppy will be named Henry.

So many cute puppies needing forever homes.

img_2974

They all tuckered out pretty fast, so young and overwhelmed by too much attention.

img_2975

Some people liked the skinny ones with long legs and short fur.

img_2976I came back to this puppy several times.  A real people puppy who loved to cuddle.

img_2977

He really bonded with this woman and she with him! He was happy to cuddle and lick her chin.  She could hardly let go of him long enough for her roommate to cuddle him.

He was definitely a German Shepherd mix and she asked me many questions about the three German Shepherds I have had.  I was honest and told her they are smart, need jobs and attention, lots of training, will get huge, etc.  The more we talked the more I knew she was up to the challenge and intrigued.

They were perfect for each other!

My Henry is still waiting for me to find him🙂

Flash Fiction Challenge Response to Nagrij

This is in response to a challenge from (here is his blog site) Nagrij for a 5 minute story.  Nagrij writes a 5 minute story every Tuesday.  This month’s challenge is horror and I accept the challenge.  Here is Nagrij’s story this week:  https://nagrij.wordpress.com/2016/10/04/tuesdays-tale-1042016/

Here you go Nagrij:

Racing down the hall she ran smack into the icy place.  The home of the foul entity that she now lived with.  When she moved in she had no idea of the evilness that had occurred here over the years.  She had a feeling that even with all she was able to discover she still did not know everything.

Henry, her German Shepherd dog for seven years, was right behind her.  His intense yowl raised the hair on the back of her neck.  As she turned around she saw he was looking behind them, at something unseen but clearly approaching with a cold malevolence.

Thinking to gain some strength from Henry’s presence she hugged him tightly and looked between his ears down the hall.  Somehow she now saw what Henry was able to see and knew she was in Hell.

This is in response to a challenge from Nagrij for a 5 minute story.  Nagrij writes a 5 minute story every Tuesday, except for today when he challenged his readers instead.

Here you go Nagrij:

She lunged again and again.  Teeth bared, fierce snarling, stabbing me hard enough with her muzzle I would have fallen if not for the wall to my back.

Pissing off a trained Police Dog.  Not my smartest achievement.  But I was smart enough not to run or move, she’d be on me in a second.

She was becoming more agitated, foaming at the mouth, and I knew I had to do something fast.  Shoving my prized Prada handbag into her face she clamped down on it.  Diving into her crate I felt the door hit me in the rear as she flew after me.

EnduraPet My Favorite Vendor at 2016 Denver Dog Show

image

This year I was pleased to see EnduraPet, my favorite dog supplement provider, had returned to the 2016 Denver Dog Show.

I have been using EnduraPet for about six years now and have never been disappointed with results.

Here is a post I did about how their Mobility Plus+ changed my ageing German Shepherd’s life Mobility Plus+

The quality of their products continues to impress me.  I have a rescue dog suffering from Addison’s Disease.  He is quite nervous during stormy weather such as thunder and extreme wind.  He is also no so happy with fireworks.  I have been using the Calming Plus+ product for about three years and find it does just that, calms poor Roscoe’s nerves.  The wind, thunder and loud fireworks still bother him; but, with the help of Calming Plus+, he is able to settle down and wait out the event.

Make my Day, Heaven on Earth

image

Heaven on Earth.

A place of love, peace, joy and happiness.

I have been missing my Rommy who I lost in August.  Imagine my surprise to receive this card from my church community.

image

It made my realize that Rommy provided me with a little bit of Heaven on Earth.

Always there for me.  With his calmness, fears and insecurities lessened.  Anxieties comforted.

Rommy sleeping

He left the knowledge of Heaven on Earth to Roscoe and Monty to share with me and remind me of my good fortune.  Just has he received the knowledge from Maxx and Troi before him.
