Henry here with a guest post about my first emergency vet visit.
I am a rescue. They don’t know much about me but my dog Mom was rescued too and she definitely had a lot of Boxer in her.
Human Mom learned that Boxers had a lot of eye issues and when she got home tonite and saw my eye like this she freaked out, threw me in the car and took me to the Emergency Vet! I mean really threw me in the car!!!
Turns out no scratch on my eye, looks like a bug bite, likely a stupid wasp which Monty has taught me to chase and try to eat.
I was sweet until I got suspicious and then was a real stinker and would not let them fit me for something called the cone of shame…
They gave up and gave me a large cone of shame and wished my human Mom good luck with getting it on me 😈.
Roscoe and Monty are excited because the emergency vet prescribed Benadryl for the swelling and they think it’ll make me sleep and pester them less.
The real reason I went to the emergency vet was because I heard human Mom say it was time for me to get something called neutered which sounds horrible. Roscoe and Monty actually have been extra tolerant of me because of neutering in my future. Now Mom says I used my neutering money for an emergency and neutering will be postponed until next month which is my birthday month…. Happy birthday to me?
Hi! Roscoe, Monty and Henry here with a guest blog post, this week’s extreme dog treats.
Pork skin rolls, freshly ground grass fed beef bone and marrow, Begging Brews gourmet spent beer grain dog treats.
The beef bone and marrow is from Western DaughtersButcher Shop. This shop provides local beef, pork, and poultry. All suppliers raise their animals in humane and healthy conditions. All parts of the animals are available and used in products with little or no waste. (Mom said she get us some chicken feet soon.)
Henry here with an update on learning how to control humans (in a good and gentle way because they are pretty fragile).
Being a puppy is complicated. Mom shares a lot because we are “rescued doggies”.
She received this “gift card” from our human brother for something called Mother’s Day. Our human brother told us about Mother’s Day, and on that day we decided it wasn’t about her, it was about us (Roscoe, Monty and me-Henry) because she is our her mother, right?
Mom loves bacon guacamole cheeseburgers from this place. But…….this place also carries a frozen treat for doggies called Pawbenders!
Frozen plain custard (no sugar), dog biscuits and some kind of peanut butter “caramel” sauce (no sugar).
Mom used her Mother’s Day gift card and shared with us, buying these yummy treats. Today was hot enough that we got to enjoy them. We are big so we ate them fast, in about 10 minutes, but enjoyed every minute as only a doggy can!
Thanks to our human brother, and Mom sharing, we had a Make My Day experience!
Love hanging out in the evenings with my brothers and Mom in front of the TV. Mom noticed that when one program is on I actually watch the TV screen during the action scenes.
My brother Rommy, who is waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge, used to watch TV too! He liked to watch anything to do with animals.
My favorite Librarian is this Asian guy named Ezekiel. He is a real imp and I want to grow up to be just like him! He and the other Librarians hunt for magic artifacts and are in constant jeopardy. The action scenes make me want to chase my tail!
Here I am with my hero John Harlan Kim aka Ezekiel Jones. I don’t know if I’ll continue to watch the show but Mom says it is kawaii (cute) and warms her heart because it reminds her of Rommy.
