Sandy’s Quilting Gift to Her Fellow Tadpoles

One of the tadpoles in our swim group, Sandy, is a truly gifted quilter.

We got together for a meal one night, fore going the actual tadpoles in the water workout, and Sandy brought each of her fellow tadpoles these awesome quilted microwave potholders.

They have a little dart action in them so they curl up and hug your bowl.  Too clever!  You put the bowl and pot holder in the microwave and if your stuff overflows these handy dandy potholders catch any spillover.  Just chuck them in the washer!

Thank you Sandy for saving the tadpoles from having to clean up microwave spills!

Yoga in the Sanctuary

Our Yoga group practices in the small sanctuary of Simpson UMC.

The stained glass windows and shoji screens make for a serene setting for our practice.

We start our practice with a trio of “Oms”.  The Oms are to bring our focus to the group, send all worries to the top of the doorway (where they can be retrieved upon leaving or left to dissipate on their own) and remind us that for the next hour and a half we are there to support each other and to practice self-care.

We have supported each other on some trying journeys and we continue to grow as a caring and loving group.  Thank you fellow Yogis!

Thank you to fellow tadpoles!

Part of my journey is thanking the people who supported me during my recent life changing events.

A very important group is my fellow tadpoles, affectionately named by my husband.

Thank you ladies for keeping the group going while I was struggling.

Thank you for being there when I needed you!

Thank you for making me laugh every time we get together (which for non-tadpoles is twice a week for deep water aerobics)!

Thank you for sticking by me and being there to listen to me these last 10 months.

We will persevere and get that synchronized swimming routine down!

We will not be cold this winter and it is okay to leave the building with wet hair!

We will continue to be there for each other!

Thank you again, it is amazing to have such a supportive group that knows my whole life and is just there for me.  What a comfort that I know I get to see you twice a week (unless it is snowing or someone is eating, tee-hee).

Love to you all!  Splish Splash!

Thank you to Yogis

There are thousands of people I wish to thank for their support during my recent life changing events.

There is no one good place to start so I am going to have to pick a place in my mind and right now (since I just finished my yoga group a couple of hours ago) at the present time that is my fellow yogis.

There are so many people to thank that I just  have to start doing it and since I am starting tonight it is with my fellow yogis since we just finished tuesday night yoga together.  This is no reflection on the support all of you have given me just a timing thing since I’m starting tonight.  I just find myself strong enough tonight!

Thank you yogis for waiting for me to be strong enough to continue our group you don’t know how much this means and how much I love you for it.

Thank you Terry and John new Yogis to our group you don’t know my personal situation but your presence has been exactly what I need to move forward.  I hope to get to know you better but if your path takes you on a different journey don’t worry about it I enjoyed our time together.

Thank you yogis for waiting for me to be strong enough to get the group going again, you are so nurturing and supportive and loving you’ll never know how much you’ve helped me!  You waited for me to be strong enough to move forward and your confidence in me is amazing.

We are a group brought together by common goal and although our members change our group goal continues to be strong.  Our support of each other!

Namaste.
