I recently forgot to bring a book for an errand (to the motor vehicle division) where I knew I was in for a long wait. There is a Little Free Library or Book Exchange at the end of the parking lot at work and I found this book by P.D. James in there. I am embarrassed to say I had not heard of her or read anything by her.
Her writing style is something new to me and I am really enjoying reading this book! Unfortunately she died a couple of years ago. She did write over 20 books in her lifetime so I will be able to continue to read her mystery novels.
“When I first heard that Humpty Dumpty fell off the wall,” she was fond of saying, “I immediately wondered: Did he fall — or was he pushed?”
Who knows how many books are sitting on shelves waiting to be read or reread. Or do you have a favorite book you want to share with others? Just place it in the free reading library! You may change someone’s life.
