Walking Dead and Brothers

Believe it or not I just recently discovered The Walking Dead.

I also recently had some surgery and remember being quite out of it. I’m sure my brother could’ve convinced me of almost anything. Fortunately he lives in another state and didn’t have the chance!

So here’s one for my brother and his sense of humor, hope I am not a victim to one of his pranks any time soon!  Hey Sam you had better make room for all of my pets!

Guest Blog Post Monty, My Human Brother’s Sock

image

Hi my name is Monty and I am a regular guest blogger here on sanseilife.   My story today?  My human brother’s sock.

I have three brothers. Rommy, Roscoe and the human aka Treat Master.

imageTreat Master visited recently and I found a sock he left behind!   There is a reason it looks like this and it’s because I’ve been carrying it around for days.

He doesn’t come often enough and he doesn’t stay long enough when he does come, I miss him terribly.

I think mom misses him too so when she saw me carrying around his sock she let me keep it because I wasn’t chewing it up. I think she understands that his scent is like perfume to my brain and it’s a wonderful wonderful feeling, almost like having him here with me!

I am hoping for Treat Master to come soon for  another visit. I know he’ll be especially pleased I didn’t chew up his sock!

Hi my name is Monty and I am a regular guest blogger here on sanseilife.   My story today?  My human brother.

I have three brothers. Rommy, Roscoe and the human.

We can’t remember his human name but we call him Treat Master because he’s the only one of the four of us that can open this container:

He is also the only of my brothers that will cuddle me and let me snuggle. He likes naps almost as much as I do.

When mom says “What are you boys up to?” he’s included in the pack!

Make My Day, My Brother and My Nephew!

Been trying to hook up with my brother for months. He is busy running his business. I keep forgetting to turn the ringer on my cell phone on!

Yippee!  Called my brother tonight and my nephew is visiting him. I got to talk to them both! (Only because my nephew said “Hey dad I think thats your phone ringing” where my brother answered “No that’s the movie we are watching” and my nephew said “No it’s your phone…….”

Wait, I thought my brother was a busy entrepreneur but the truth is he just doesn’t realise his phone is ringing…..

Thank goodness my nephew was visiting.  He is attending West Point and was in town because he was giving a speech.  (Brag brag brag, I could go on and on but I want my nephew to take care of me in my old age so I can’t embarrass him too bad!

Make my Day, got to talk to two of  my favorite people in the whole wide world!

My Earliest Memory

Your earliest memory will be a childhood memory that touched your soul, shaped your future or perhaps was the most important event in your life.

In 1959 one of the heaviest September snow storms of record began as rain and changed quickly to heavy wet snow.  The storm caused massive damage to trees and shrubbery which were still in full leaf.  The storm dumped 10.6 inches of snow at Stapleton Airport in Denver, the third heaviest September snow amount to date.  Falling trees and limbs disrupted traffic…broke power and communication lines…and damaged buildings and cars.  When it was all over on October 1st, after three intense days, well over 10 inches of snow had fallen.

It was at this time my brother Sam decided to enter the world.

Mommy was really fat and the snow made her fatness a problem.   She had to go to the hospital right after the big snow storm when the roads were still bad.

She was at the hospital for what seemed like a long time to a little girl not even three.  But whatever the hospital was Daddy said she would be coming home from there soon with a surprise.

The day we went to the hospital to get Mommy (and the surprise) was a sunny day.  Daddy parked the car in front of the hospital which was a big  building.  He pointed out this guy who wore a uniform and told me that the guy would be watching over me and not to be scared   It would take him a little while to get Mommy and the surprise.

I thought the guy kind of looked like a policeman.  I already knew about policemen and knew I could trust them.   The guy had a badge too!

I waited a long time and suddenly I wanted to cry but the guy came over and smiled at me and I was brave again.

Out of the hospital building came Mommy and Daddy.  They had a big blanket.  Not a great surprise….  Mommy got in the car and said I should sit in the middle and she and I would share the surprise on our laps.  The surprise blanket was pretty heavy and Mommy showed me something wrapped up inside.  I had a baby brother!

Mommy and Daddy let me hold him all the way home with just a little help from Mommy.

One of the happiest days of my life.

My earliest memory.

My soul was touched that day.  I never feel as lonely as before my brother came in that blanket, after brother is much better!

Maybe this was the most important event in my life.
