Hi!  Roscoe, Monty and Henry here with a guest blog post, this week’s extreme dog treats.

Pork skin rolls, freshly ground grass fed beef bone and marrow, Begging Brews  gourmet spent beer grain dog treats.

The beef bone and marrow is from Western Daughters Butcher Shop.   This shop provides local beef, pork, and poultry. All suppliers raise their animals in humane and healthy conditions.  All parts of the animals are available and used in products with little or no waste.  (Mom said she get us some chicken feet soon.)

The Begging Brews dog treats?  They are from

A portion of all proceeds from the sale of these treats go to the Pink Boot Society, supporting women in the brew craft industry!

Today’s Haiku

Roscoe

Hi! Roscoe here with today’s guest blog post and Haiku.

When Mom adopted me they told her I was found alone on the streets of Trinidad, a puppy of less than 6 weeks and starving.

I sometimes get scared of things I can’t see and Mom is real patient and loving with me when this happens.

Stormy weather.  Hate it.  I can feel the electricity in the air.  The room closes in on me, pressing me on all sides, choking me.

I can smell the lightning before it strikes, a smell like Mom scrubbing the sink.  Clean but scary, knowing what comes next.

Rolling thunder heard from miles away, louder and louder causing me to pant in fear.  Thunder I can feel in my bones bringing that horrible trembling that I can’t control.

Wind threatening to pick up the house and carry us all away.

  • darkness approaching
  • terrible unknown evil
  • trees bowing in fear
  • darkness descending
  • the pack howls in agony
  • sharp crack and bright light
  • darkness replaced by stillness
  • my once racing heart now yearns
  • hopes for quiet peace

Henry Got Mail!

Henry and Monty

Guest blogger Monty here.  Henry got some mail and him being a puppy needed my help in reading it.  It is from his friend Jared.

Jared always sends Henry tips on how to be a good puppy.

And he also sends extra treat coupons.  This one is only good if Henry is practicing good behavior!  Thank goodness Mom always has extreme treats available!

And thank goodness when Henry uses his treat coupon me and Roscoe will get one too!

Photo shoot with Mom!

Henry here with the latest.  Mom’s church is making a new directory. She picked me to be in the directory with her! Here we are waiting for our photo shoot I was a good boy!

The photographer was excited to see me. He actually put me in front of another session.

The last directory mom had her photo taken with Rommy.

At that photo shoot the photographer was excited to see Rommy. When mom looked at the proofs Rommy looked handsome in all of them and there was only a couple where she looked OK.

After our photo shoot she looked at the proofs and with a big sigh she realized I looked great in every photo but she had her eyes closed or she was making a funny face or she had a double chin in the rest of the photos.  We get the pictures next month and I can’t wait to see how they turned out and to be on her desk at work!  (And in the church directory!)

Mad Maxx and Mom from her desk at her office.   Love the jeans Mom!

Rommy and Mom from her desk at her office.  You still look good in that color of red Mom!

Roscoe and Mom from her desk at her office.   Roscoe was rescued from the streets and he was found alone, a puppy of less than six weeks old. He really does adore Mom!

Monty needs a photo shoot too!  We can’t wait to be on Mom’s desk at work!

P.S.  Does anyone know what “work” is?

The Three ???

img_3294

Henry here, guest blogger on sanseilife.  Mom caught us cavorting in the snow earlier this week and took this photo, I’m the one in action.

She wanted to call us The Three Stooges…  Well as you know I  have been watching a little TV lately so know who the Three Stooges are and that’s not us.

I was thinking of The Three Musketeers or Les Trois Mousquetaires here at Chez Matsumoto.

  • D’Artagnan, the young wannabee Musketeer, that’s me.  I am fitting into the pack but it ain’t easy.  I have to prove I deserve their respect.
  • Athos strikes me as an uncle figure and that is what Monty is to me.  He has really taken me under his paw and is showing me the ropes.
  • Aramis handsome and loves the women and so that would be my human brother Nick.  Mom will do a sketch of the 2 of us some day soon.
  • Porthos is the strong and stubborn Musketeer, Roscoe to a tail wag.  If I get scared I stand right under him for his strength.

The only other other option is the Three Little Pigs and Mom just better not go there.

Watching TV With Mom, Love Librarians

Henry here, guest blogger on sanseilife.

Love  hanging out in the evenings with my brothers and Mom in front of the TV.   Mom noticed that when one program is on I actually watch the TV screen during the action scenes.

My brother Rommy, who is waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge, used to watch TV too!  He liked to watch anything to do with animals.

librarians

My favorite Librarian is this Asian guy named Ezekiel.  He is a real imp and I want to grow up to be just like him!  He and the other Librarians hunt for magic artifacts and are in constant jeopardy.  The action scenes make me want to chase my tail!

Here I am with my hero John Harlan Kim aka Ezekiel Jones.  I don’t know if I’ll continue to watch the show but Mom says it is kawaii (cute) and warms her heart because it reminds her of Rommy.
